Ann Arbor, MI - March 19 - 21, 2016 marked the first IgniteIt Weekend at the University of Michigan. Created and operated by the MPowered Entrepreneurship student organization, this three day event was created to encourage and create sustainable student start-ups. As part of the event's festivities, Vital Owner/Founder, Loren Branch had the opportunity to mentor students via one-on-one sessions, group discussions, and hosting a workshop titled "Entrepreneurship...it begins and ends with you," discussing an entrepreneur's role in the development and growth of their business. Below are photo highlights from the event including the pitch contest winners who successfully acquired funding for their ventures.
Thank you to the event's organizers and we look forward to continue playing a role in future events!
Dally in the Alley in one of Detroit's most popular events and this year, we had the pleasure of being a part of it! Located in Detroit's Midtown across from Wayne State University in the Cass Corridor between Forest and Hancock, 2nd Ave and Anthony Wayne (aka 3rd St), the 38th annual Dally was not only another awesome event but the biggest one yet! We not only served as a Dally vendor but also met a lot of great people including a lot of new #Vitalizers who bought Revitalize Detroit Tees and placed Grow Tee Pre-Orders! Thank you to all the volunteers who make this event awesome each and every year and to all of you who showed us love and support! We apologize to all the #Vitalizers not shown in the gallery below, we appreciate you all and we'd love to add pictures you send us! See you next year!

This past Saturday (July 11), we had the pleasure of visiting one of our Re·vital·izingOrganizations, Motor City Blight Busters (MCBB), for the first time during one of their weekly open volunteer days. Every Saturday at 9 am, the organization meets all willing and able volunteers at Motor City Java & Tea House to go out in the Detroit community to work on various initiatives that they have taken on. This particular Saturday, the volunteers included members of the local community, All Hands volunteers, and a youth group from Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis, MN. According to an adult supervisor for the group, they take trips to various areas across the country in order to take part in service work.
Below is a brief tour of the MCBB facilities and look into the great work they do to re·vital·ize the great city of Detroit:
